Dogs love to go on all kinds of adventures. Sometimes an unforeseen mishap happens, but dogs have humans to thank for the positive outcomes.
Lost and found
A man and his friends were kayaking along a river to pass the time. They were having a great time until the man heard a dog crying.
The kayakers searched for the dog for a few minutes until one of them had a glimpse of the dog. The man that first heard the dog gently paddled towards the canine.
The guy had a bit of trouble reaching the dog since he got a bit stuck in some weed. Once he was near the pup, he petted the scared animal to gain his trust.
Nobody knew how the dog got there or how long he’s been stuck. But all the kayakers agreed that they had to save the pup.
The guy began pulling the dog but noticed that the dog was stuck. He tried to pull at some of the weed, but unfortunately, the pup was still stuck.
The guy decided to take his shoes off and jump into the river to get rid of whatever the dog was stuck on. Something underwater was holding the dog down, and the kayaker was determined to find out what it was.
Safe and sound
After a few minutes of tugging at weeds, the kayaker finally untangled the dog’s collar. He carried the dog unto his kayak and paddled to shore.
Once they reached land, the kayaker gave the dog some of their food and water. The kayakers rested for a couple of hours before they brought the dog to a local shelter.
The kayakers told the shelter their story, and the volunteers couldn’t stop thanking them. The volunteers assured the kayakers that the dog would be taken to his owner as soon as possible.
